Dulce on Ivar...

So... I went to Dulce on Saturday and I must say I do not like this place at all. It was a very bad experience, the people, just the overall feeling of this place. You know when you do something and something inside of you is telling you that something is not right? Haha, did that make sense? Well, that's the best that I can describe it. My intuition that night told me something was not right.

Aside from my bad experience, this place is basically a huge loft used as a club. The floors are concrete and dirty. When I was on the dancefloor, there was a lot of glasses on the floor. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. The bars were ok, but seemed a little understocked. The lines to this place get pretty long and if your not a part of a guest list, your going to wait for a cool minute to get in. There's a DJ spinning outside and a bar, it seems that usually people stay out here to drink a little bit before they go inside or they are going outside to catch some fresh air. There are stairs to get into the actual club and right away there is another bar. This is the one that usually has a lot of people waiting for drinks and is kind of small for the amount of people that are usually there. The dance floor is pretty big and off to the side, there is another level where people can sit and relax. To the side of the room there is another bar and that one looked really understocked. The DJ is in the front and off to the side of him there is stairs going up to the upstairs. I can't really say what is upstairs because I didn't go. It seems there's more seating, like a lounge area.

The people who go here, I have to say are not the best people to be around. Not the I am the creme de la creme, but let's just say that the guys are not respectful and many, not all, but many girls don't really seem like they respect themselves. Ladies, if you go here be sure to be with people you trust, because something will for sure happen.

Overall, I give this place 2 stars out of 5. I'm going to try to go here one more time in the future to see if I can adjust my opinion, give this place a second chance.

Cinespace in Hollywood on Thursdays

Cinespace is a club/ lounge in Hollywood, Ca. It is located on the corner of Hollywood and Ivar. On Thursdays, I believe it is 18 and over and on the weekends its 21 and over.

So, my cousin had a little birthday celebration at the lounge last night. We got there around 11pm and it still wasn't full of people or a good ambiance for the dance floor. Our group was waiting for DJ Thirst, which I must say was REALLY good. He got the party started most definitely. He usually spins at the Highlands, which is a more popular and sought after club than Cinespace, but on Thursdays he spins at Cinespace from midnight until whenever. The lounge/club is an ok place to go to. My only "problem" I guess you can say, with this place is that it doesn't have enough of a dancefloor. It has a lot of comfortable seating but I believe that promotes club goers not to dance right off the bat and kind of relax until the mood strikes. But, I suppose if the owners real intention was to have more of a lounge then they did a very good job. The bar tenders were good enough but I really didn't order many drinks, I was designated driver.

The lounge is upstairs and it has 3 rooms and 3 bars. It has a smoking patio with a bar. A transition room where there is also a bar and a DJ spinning. Off of this room, the women's bathroom is located. There is a hallway off of the transition room into the main room. In this room the mens bathroom is located, another bar, lounge type of seating, and a medium size dance floor with another DJ spinning. If the DJ is good then this room gets pretty packed and you can find every body in the place cramming into the area.

If your 18, then this spot is a good place to hit up. I would have to go there on either a Friday or Saturday to really judge how the lounge gets for the 21 and older crowd. Overall, I give this place 3 stars out of 5. Cinespace has great potential. Pros: Good area, good amount of space, good bar to people ratio. Cons: Needs better DJs on the regular, less seating, and more dancefloor.

Hello world, people, anyone...

My name is Alennis, and I started this new blog as a way to give myself motivation to do different and new things in my life. Have you ever woken up and thought to yourself... "What is interesting in my life?" How many of you have come up with the answer.. "Nothing :/" Well, that was my answer and frankly, that answer sucks. We have only one life to live guys... we should be making the most out of it right? I think so...

So, my goal for this blog is to post anything on here, from makeup, to cars, to events, to random anything. Also, for some feedback from the public. Is there anything anyone wants to try out, visit, review, or do, that you yourself can't or won't try until someone else does? Tell me, ask me, what to do, visit, try, see, review and if its reasonable and in the Los Angeles area, I will do it.

Let me know people, give me something new and interesting to do and share with every person out there who sits there some days and wonders... "What is there to do?"
